Recommendation of Peter Steele.

Prior to moving into Batty Lodge in May 2002, we had already acknowledged that we needed more accommodation.

The original Barn / Shippon dates from the mid 1800's with its conversion to a type of Bungalow having been carried out in 1975. The property was structurally as the original building, having been re-roofed with plenty of unused loft area. Our plan was for extra sleeping / office / bathroom space.

We met Peter though a mutual acquaintance. After lengthy discussions, Peter's unruffled manner convinced us that the substantial alterations could be undertaken via a Building Notice, without formal Architects plans. This essentially gave flexibility to the ongoing building options, but still required very regular visits from the Authority Building Inspectors.

To say we are pleased with the finished job, which has given us an extra 750 sq. ft. of living space, is a total understatement.

The work was completed over 2-3 months and every aspect was carried out totally professionally. We would, without any reservation, recommend Peter Steele for his work from both a personal and business point of view.
